ANXIOUS ANXIOUS ANXIOUS
CONCEPT

This exhibit space explored anxiety disorder and how it affects everyday life. With the goal of giving a visual identity to the feelings of restlessness, being on edge, fatigued, difficulty breathing, irritability, headaches, muscle aches, stomach aches, general pain, and difficulty sleeping associated with the disorder. These symptoms are uncontrollable, disproportional, reactions to everyday events. The source of these feelings can be difficult to identify and express but that does not invalidate them. I choose to represent these feelings through the idea of motion and how it can be captured through videography and animation and broken down through photography. Using this idea reflects on the isolation anxiety disorder creates and the separation the sufferer often feels from their inner monolog versus their outward appearance. I also utilized the imagery of a plastic bag. An everyday item that seems insignificant but can be overwhelmingly deadly if given the power.
