ABOUT
The moments in between our significant life experiences can feel pretty awkward. These times do not have a real purpose or definition often leading to feelings of anxiousness, unease, or insecurity. But what if we could use this time for something positive instead? We hope to reframe these moments in life by celebrating these in-betweens. We do this by giving this time a new sense of purpose and accomplishment. This is done by utilizing this unused time to work on critical soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and organization. These skills can then be brought into their next big experience.
CARD GAME
Team Up is a card game that challenges players to learn the positives of collaboration. Get three to ten of your closest or newest friends and TEAM UP! The goal of the game is simple. Finish your quilt first to win! One at a time a player will read out the card and act as the judge. The remaining players must act fast. But pay attention! Some cards win while others take. Gather up all of the necessary quilt squares first to win the game! To win you must be fast, quick, most importantly know when to rely on someone else.
POSTER SERIES
Speak Up is a poster series meant to challenge users to have new and exciting conversations. Peel off a tile from the board and take on your new challenge. If you complete the challenge reward yourself with a collectible sticker! As you complete the challenges you will slowly reveal the poster design underneath. At the end you will earn a new set of fun sticks, a poster, and a new confidence in communication.
Interactive Activity
1. Peel It! Reach up and pull off a shape from the poster
2. Read It! Read the backside of the shape to learn your communication challenge
3. Complete it! Return the shape to the black box below and start new conversations
4. Reveal it! See the poster slowly be revealed as more visitors take on the challenge.
